Endless worry and rumination is pointless. Have you noticed that you go round and round in a loop without a solution sometimes? It’s like a never ending ride that you really need to get off.
Frustrating or what?
If you worry a lot, it affects you more than you may realise. It affects your sleep and the regeneration of hormones in your body that you need to be feeling good the next day. Yes, this happens while you sleep.
Excess worry interferes with this process as your brain has to get busy shutting down these worry loops for you. At a time it would normally be getting you set up for the next day.
This means you wake up feeling sluggish, low and miserable.
